L. Frank Baum wrote, “The Wizard of Oz” in 1900. Cloaked as a children’s fantasy story it was screen written for a movie in 1938-39. Deemed “the most watched film ever” it started to be televised annually since 1956 and has evolved into an American Legend. It is considered a beloved treasure worldwide and has surely evolved into a great American iconographic piece of America’s 20th Century culture.
This lecture will illuminate the N.D.E. that L. Frank Baum experienced and how he communicated his experience so as to touch the souls of most of our American society. L. Frank Baum conveyed the hope of the next dimension in his tale in a way that we each could relate to the famous words of Dorothy, “There’s no place like HOME.”
