Tom Craven moderated the panel. The first recording is of Myra Munn, who had an STE while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She found that energy healing and acupuncture worked for her, since conventional therapy made her deathly ill. She learned Healing Touch and Reiki, and practices Chi Gong every day to stay healthy. The second recording is of Daniel Hom’s STEs and Gary Guthrie’s NDE. Coming from a fundamentalist Christian background, Daniel had a “dark night of the soul” and apparent spiritual warfare until he connected with his Guardian Angel and received power to battle the dark energies around him. While having dark thoughts and feelings, he switched colleges and changed his understanding of the nature of God’s love. Gary had blood poisoning, had an NDE, and changed his understanding about God and mankind. “Light is the Source from whence we came. You are drawn towards the light, which sees and loves everybody the same. “ He overcame lifelong racism and changed his religion afterwards when he saw that black people in South Africa had the same inner light as whites. He had been taught the black skin was a curse and that they were inferior spiritually by his religion. He was a teacher and told his students that apartheid was wrong. When he came back to his family in California, he became a follower of new thought and other more liberal faiths.
I ended the discussion ended with musings about women ministers, the patriarchy, and the shift in structure as well as consciousness that is occurring now.
